Gifty Kotey
RN | President & Founder
Gifty G. Kotey holds many titles. She is a wife of nearly 40 yrs, a mother of three, a grandmother of four and counting, an educator, a healer, a pioneer, and a businesswoman. Gifty Kotey, a native of Accra, Ghana left her homeland in her early twenties to pursue an education in Nursing in London, England. After completing her studies to become an Licensed Practical Nurse, Gifty decided to move to Virginia to pursue her Associates Degree in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community College. Gifty’s RN experience includes Medical Surgical nursing, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, and numerous supervisory roles which ultimately led her to develop Gee’s Nursing Care Services and Gee’s Career Training Institute.
GCTI was born in the Spring of 2005. Gifty’s sincere passion for education and providing opportunities for her community were the motivating factors for developing a Virginia Board of Nursing approved institution. GCTI prides itself on being an affordable institution that values all cultures.

Lisa Brown
MHA BSN RN | CEO
Lisa has been apart of GCTI since its inception in 2005 and has remained a reliable decision maker who is focused on keeping the spirit of the GCTI’s mission alive. Lisa Brown attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After completing her degree she then went on to join the United States Air Force Reserves where she became a commissioned officer and Flight Nurse. Lisa was a skilled Flight Nurse and promoted quickly to become a Flight Nurse Instructor. She decided that she wanted to advance her education and later enrolled into the University of Maryland University College where she pursued her Master’s degree in Health Care Administration. Lisa has over 8 years of clinical RN experience, which ranges from Intermediate Care, PACU, Forensic Psychiatry, and Case Management. She now functions as the CEO and influences all operations of GCTI.
